The sound output thru my headphones - I haven't played it with my monitors yet - is warm and rich. I did the slightest of tweaks bending the curve upward, and the feel got even better (for me). With my other VSTs (Pianoteq5, Garritan CFX and Galaxy Vintage D), I was constantly fiddling with the velocity curve because I either had silent notes (when playing lightly) or overly loud notes (with a medium strong keystrike.) With the Ravenscroft, I was shocked to find the touch was excellent (at least for me) 'right out of the box'.
I don't have the best dynamic control technique, but the Ravenscroft actually helps me to play better and more consistently. I've had digital pianos/keyboards for only a few years, having started with a DGX640 and now have a Kawai VPC1 - and I have never felt as connected to the keys as with the Ravenscroft. I'd call myself a low intermediate or thereabouts.
Now, I am far from being a great piano player, so take this for what it's worth. I've only had about 45 minutes on it so far, but I can honestly say WOW!. Based upon some of the discussion there, I decided to take a chance on the Ravenscroft 275 today.
